Craft Exhibition

Design and production of the itinerant exhibition «Manos de Mimbre». The exhibition aims to highlight the craft of wicker weaving as a key cultural practice in the identity of the community of Chimbarongo. Through the presentation of the handcrafted object, which emphasizes both its aesthetic and functional value, the exhibition also highlights the artisans who create these pieces. It features the work of the Colectivo de Artesanos y Artesanas de Chimbarongo (Craft Collective of Chimbarongo), whose members have joined forces to raise awareness of the heritage of wicker weaving through their daily work in their own workshops.

This project was part of the ONG FUSUPO’s Servicio País program, with the support of the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage of Chile and the Municipality of Chimbarongo.
